Frequently Asked Questions

The following are some of the questions we are mostly asked by customers.  If you have any questions not answered here please talk to us via our Contact Us page.

 


Do you make custom cakes?
To allow us to make our cakes on short notice we only make the designs available on our website.  Most of our cakes do allow some customisation though on color scheme, toppers, etc.  For truly custom cakes our sister bakery, Perfectly Crafted, will be happy to assist you.  Please contact them on info@perfectlycrafted.co.za for a quotation

Do you deliver?
Not at the moment, sorry.

What do I need to know when collecting my cake?
Make sure you have enough room in your vehicle for the cake to be kept level.  We do not recommend holding the cake in your lap or transporting it on a slanted seat.  When collecting please ensure that any details on your cake are correct as ordered.  Once the cake leaves our bakery we are unfortunately not responsible for any damages done to the cake during transport or at your home/venue.  Should we need to repair your cake this will be at an additional charge.

How long in advance do I have to book?
Our website will allow orders 72 hours or more in advance.  We currently make cakes for collections from Wednesdays to Saturdays.

Can I order a wedding cake from you?
Our sister bakery, Perfectly Crafted, will be happy to assist you.  Please contact them on info@perfectlycrafted.co.za for a quotation

How long will the cake stay fresh?
Refrigerated, our cakes will stay fresh for 3 days.  We recommend taking the cake out of the refrigerator about an hour before serving to get to room temperature.  Any left over cake can be refrigerated in an airtight container.

What about food allergies?
Our cakes are made in a bakery that uses Nuts, Eggs, Wheat, Milk and Dairy products.  Although we aim to reduce cross-contamination, we unfortunately cannot assume any responsibility for any allergic reaction from the food consumed. 

How should I pay you?
We accept payment via our online ordering system.  You can pay via our Payfast gateway or manual EFT into our account.  Please note that when paying via EFT your order is only confirmed once funds clear into our bank account.  We do not allow cakes to be collected without cleared payment.  All EFT orders not paid on the SAME DAY as ordering will automatically be cancelled by our system. Please be sure to send us your EFT proof of payment to hello@sprinkled.co.za to allow us to process your payment

Can I cancel my order?
To allow us to cancel your order you need to give us a minimum of 48 hours notice before your scheduled collection.  We will then issue you with a credit voucher for the order amount to use with us on your next order.  Orders can unfortunately not be cancelled within 48 hours of collection.

Can I pay you Cash on Collection?
For safety reasons we do not keep any cash on premises so please pay us using any of the payment methods mentioned above
